Campaign: Young People

Since 2014, N-ERGIE Nürnberg has been supporting projects that benefit children and young people through the "Young People's Initiative." Originally, €30,000 per year was allocated for this purpose and distributed to selected projects through a jury. With a funding concept from FAIRPLAID, the campaign has been significantly enhanced in terms of its impact, awareness, and reach.

 
 

Since 2020, the fundraising campaign has been managed through the N-ERGIE Crowd. This allows N-ERGIE's donation budget for the Young People's Initiative to have a much greater impact than if the money were donated to individual organizations. Why? In addition to the €30,000 donation budget, contributions from thousands of supporters are added through the N-ERGIE Crowd. This creates a fantastic dynamic, resulting in the remarkable outcome of raising over €100,000 each year for various projects since 2020. In total, €302,000 has been fairly distributed to 102 projects.

Another key factor for success is that instead of allocating the budget to a few selected projects, an unlimited number of projects can now benefit from the €30,000 donation budget, which is distributed as a funding pool through the crowdfunding platform. This not only increased transparency but also significantly boosted the participation in the Young People's Initiative, along with gaining high attention for the annual campaign within the region, including widespread media coverage in newspapers and on the radio, all without additional media budget.
