Promotion campaign against the negative consequences of the coronavirus pandemic

Over 421,000 euros for the promotion of associations.

With the DOSB's #SupportYoutSport campaign and the Sportdeutschland Crowd, the DOSB has succeeded in demonstrating and offering sports clubs in Germany an effective solution to the negative consequences of coronavirus and thereby specifically promoting sports club projects to retain and attract members and preserve the unique club culture.

One focus of the "SupportYourSport campaign" is the Sportdeutschland Crowd, where clubs, teams and individual athletes can launch a crowdfunding project under the motto "Save your club with crowdfunding".

With the additional financial support from the "SupportYourSport" funding pot of 100,000 euros and the funding pot mechanism of 20 euros for 10 euros per supporter, a wide variety of projects were tackled. The most frequently funded projects were those aimed at renewing the infrastructure. Instead of remaining in lockdown, the clubs have become active, modernized their clubhouses, created new sports facilities or expanded their vehicle fleets.

With the funding page and the activated inclusion funding pot, the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe is implementing its goal of supporting not only elite sport but also grassroots and club sport and, above all, projects with an inclusive character.

The funding pot of 40,000 euros comes from the prize money of the Sparkasse Prize for Role Models in Sport. The aim is to strengthen cohesion in sport and the community.
